Panaji: Amit Patkar has launched the ‘Super Me’ Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign for students, with an aim to take the initiative to all schools in Curchorem.

“Today, we took the first step with ‘Super Me – Yes to Life, Yes to Help’ at Sarvodaya High School, Curchorem, encouraging children to protect their dreams, make informed choices and reach out for help without fear or shame,” Patkar said.

He said that through this programme, his team will spread awareness among children about the harmful effects of drug consumption. “We will tell our students how drugs can affect their lives and their families,” he said.

“Our responsibility to the next generation goes beyond election season. Their safety, well-being and future must remain a priority every single day. That is the commitment behind Super Me,” Patkar said.

“Through Dr. Shankar Komarpant’s insightful session, an awareness skit by Shri Chandreshwar Kala Maharaj Sangh and an interactive presentation, we opened an important conversation about drugs, mental well-being and the courage to seek support,” he said.

Patkar appealed to parents, teachers and citizens to be part of the effort. “Listen to a child. Start a conversation. Make asking for help easier. Every child deserves someone who stands up for their future. Let us be those people,” he said.
