Panaji: In an apparent jibe at the BJP, former GPCC President Amit Patkar on Friday said that the saffron party is using the Congress-built Ravindra Bhavan for political publicity through ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’.
He was reacting to the ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’ programmes organised by the BJP Government.”For 15 years, Curchorem has waited for proper roads, better healthcare and a bus stand. While the road to the MLA’s house may be well-maintained, ordinary citizens continue to face poor road conditions,” Patkar said.
“The promised hospital still faces questions over doctors and essential equipment, while the BJP uses the Congress-built Ravindra Bhavan for political publicity through Sarkar Tumchya Dari,” he said.
“Worse, the STP built beside Curchorem’s traditional Ganpati visarjan site raises serious concerns about sewage overflow and pollution. Enough of the photo-ops, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. Curchorem deserves answers, real development and protection of its traditions, not just Sarkar Tumchya Dari programmes and promises,” he added.
