Margao: The Department of Computer Science of VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, is all set to organise BITBUZZ 8.0, a state-level Information Technology Fest for Higher Secondary students on 9 September 2026 at the college campus. With the theme “Think. Create.
Transform.”, BITBUZZ 8.0 aims to provide students of Std. XI and XII from across Goa with a platform to showcase their creativity, technical skills, problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking. The fest will feature a wide range of technical, non-technical, on-stage, off-stage and recreational events, encouraging students to compete, collaborate and apply their knowledge beyond the classroom.
The competitions are designed to promote creativity, teamwork, quick thinking and an interest in Information Technology. There is no registration fee for participation. The event is expected to bring together students from Higher Secondary Schools across the state for a day of learning, healthy competition and interaction.
The event is being organised under the guidance of Officiating Principal Prof. Sanjay P. Sawant Dessai, with BITBUZZ Convenor Amogh S. Pai Raiturkar leading the organising team, supported by Co-Convenor Samuel Godinho, Programme Coordinator Ms. Sweta P. Shet Verenkar and the faculty members of the Department of Computer Science Through BITBUZZ, the Department of Computer Science continues its endeavour to provide young learners with a platform to explore their potential, engage with technology and experience learning in an exciting and competitive environment. BITBUZZ 8.0 promises to be a celebration of technology, creativity, innovation and youthful talent.
