Panaji, August 26, 2026: Strengthening rural livelihood institutions and community-based development, the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), will organise the Closing Ceremony of the 4th Zonal Workshop on the National Supportive Supervision Framework (NSSF), Phase 1 Zone 4, on 27th August 2026 at 12:00 PM at Taj Cidade de Goa Heritage, Dona Paula, Panaji.
Bringing diverse rural development stakeholders onto one platform, the workshop has brought together representatives, resource persons and officials from different States and Union Territories for discussions, experience-sharing, field learnings and planning. The NSSF focuses on a structured approach to supervision that supports institutions through guidance, mentoring and capacity building.
Building stronger and more self-reliant community institutions, the framework emphasises institutional capacity, effective governance, financial management, capable human resources, peer learning and stronger member-level outcomes. It also seeks to strengthen linkages between community institutions, Panchayats, government departments, markets and other stakeholders while progressively building greater State ownership.
The closing ceremony will be graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant as Chief Guest, along with Shri Shripad Naik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Government of India; Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Goa; Shri Rohit Kansal, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India; Dr. V.
