Panaji: The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has formally welcomed the initiative of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee to begin discussions on a possible electoral alliance for the 2027 Goa Assembly Elections, with a clear message that any political understanding must be guided by the larger interests of Goa and Goans.
RGP National President Shri. Viresh Mukesh Borkar has conveyed the party’s willingness to enter into formal discussions with the Congress, recognising the common ground between the two parties on issues concerning Goa’s identity, land, employment, environment, green, uniqueness, sustainable development, and protection of Goa’s distinctive social and cultural character.
RGP has made it clear that the proposed alliance should not be reduced to a mere seat-sharing arrangement. The larger objective must be to present the people of Goa with a strong, united and credible alternative committed to transparent, responsive and people-friendly governance in the interest of Goa and Goans.
